WAKE UP TEXANS!!!

A regular session of our TEXAS Legislature is 140 DAYS long.

TOTAL BILLS PROPOSED/PASSED means NEW LAWS PROPOSED/PASSED.

TOTAL LEGISLATION PROPOSED/PASSED includes all the resolutions in with the new laws.

If you correlate the special interests’ lobbying efforts with the number of NEW LAWS passed, you see an interesting trend:  the more money spent on lobbying our legislature, the more NEW LAWS.  COINCIDENTAL?

Special interests are against Initiative & Referendum rights because it breaks their monopoly of controlling our legislative process.  They still have the advantage over us because of their organization, staff, contacts, and money—but they would lose their precious monopoly.  Issues trump money and they know that.
